excuse me laobei and d….. can you please get your facts straight before criticisng other JCs.
There are no definate records of which JC has the highest abortion rate. I have a friend who works in the hospital and they dont ask you which school you are from when you abort a baby or give birth to one. Even if you are talking about sex instead…… what makes you think that the other school are not making babies either?
Life is not all about rankings and studies. Having fun is part of life….. it allows an individual to grow in a border sense of mind.
gosh…. can you “elitist” people just stop making such snide remarks? are you suppose to be educated and hence more open?

Yoohooo, fellow CJCians!
Sekali Bro Paul sees this, and Monday’s assembly would go “I don’t want to mention names, but so-and-so were caught in an apparently flight mission off the school staircases, to launch Apollo 24.”
FYI, CJC’s ranking has improved over the years, and though it’s not amongst the elites, but it is a school that has left much fond memories in me. I’m pretty sure many ex-students share similar sentiment.

ex-CJCian. now in UNI. to some who made some sweeping statements to CJC, i can only express my greatest regret to these ‘unbecoming behaviours’ of these ‘elites’. You’ve just stripped urselves of that title. So to these bunch of bigots out there, pls be more sensitive and mature in your thinkings and mindsets.
As for the clip, it was ‘strictly forbidden’ & hell crazy. But it would be sth U guys will remember for life =P.

as an ex cjc-ian, i think you ‘appollo guys’ ROCKS !, its only through stunts like this that keep the memories, to fuck with all those who didn’t agree with the clip. Remove the broom stuffed up your ass and enjoy the fun.
I had my fair share of ‘memories’ from the school. CJC might not be up there in the rankings but guess what ? most of us are justas successful in life..

Well, since when have we ever cared what the hell everyone else thinks..? Everyone else is just jealous coz CJC kids know how to have fun. 😀
And man, that looks DAMN fun. I wish someone in my batch had thought of that! I graduated from CJ in 2003, and all the other CJ people I’ve shown this too so far share the same sentiments as me: wanna put on our old uniform and go back and try this out man… 😛

I graduated from cjc last year…and the guys one year my senior did it…
Admire them…they had fun..they enjoyed themselves….

Sigh. So much for the negative comments. Ugly. To those who worry abt the damages. Well. Its all been paid by the class. NONE by MOE. So don’t worry about your POOR taxes being burnt by it. To those who worries about the school board knowing abt it. I think they do. And it was rumoured that it was included in one of the meetings. Whether the MOE side knows about it, I think they better not know huh. It might become a big hoo-ha out of it. And I don’t see any point in blowing this up. To those who thinks that these people are disgrace to the society or something along that line. Well. I think most of them did well for their As. Maybe even better than U. So get a life, move on. Are you guys the freakin’ fun nazis? Is there a ministry of fun now? Did the government close random youthful enjoyment on public holidays and weekends too? Don’t tell me Singapore’s got a fine for THIS one already?

Honestly. Does a couple of dudes having random fun on a staircase/drain dictate the intelligence of the entire school? And even if it did, does it even dictate THAT? The students here are having FUN. Fun? you know the word fun right? ok ok don’t worry. first comes ‘F’, then comes ‘U’, and then comes ‘N’!
I think it’s a Singaporean thing nowadays, especially amongst serious stuck up people who are so caught up in grades/status and come from families with parents that harp over what school my son/daughter/princess is in that they’ve forgotten the meaning of the word FUN!

It is when people, who realise that studies cannot be the only damn thing occupying 123% of their lives, decide that, hey, i’ve got a funny idea. let’s go film it. it’ll be a good way to release stress.
You honestly think all of CJC are budding astronauts trying to form the People’s Astronauts Party?
NO it doesn’t. for you elitist snobs who believe this is evidence that CJ is a breeding ground/delinquent society, for crying out loud. Take a look at the facts, ‘Your Royal Highnesses”, so for the genius who said ‘This is EXACTLY what separates a good Junior College from a rubbish one. And you wonder why your rankings aren’t improving.’–
1) CJ’s grades ARE IMPROVING. you cannot call it a bottom ranking school anymore. in fact, it happens to be one of the better schools when it comes to the Arts! but of course, no. the stereotype is, hey, people get pregnant there- how the hell can it be a good school? you heard of giving things a second look?
2) CJ is NOT a breeding ground of underage sex. The only reason why everyone thinks it is was because at one point in CJ’s history, the hostel was actually rented out to non-students, too. and these non-students, well, let’s just say some of them rocked the casbah with the place across the road. once again, i stress the words NON-STUDENTS. word got out of the incident, and naturally, linked these infiltrators (no pun intended) with the rest of the school.
AMAZING how fast people spread and warp rumours. you don’t need a paris hilton to learn that! wait till she comes to singapore! naturally, only students get to stay in the hostel now- and believe me when i say that THAT place is no love hotel.
so leave this poor school alone, and wake up to the PRESENT. the rumour that the school has the highest pregnancy rate for a college is utter BULLSHIT.
the very fact that the word ‘pregnancy rate’ is mentioned already shows that this rumour is bullshit. if you don’t already know, our dear friend Mr. Thaman does NOT keep tabs on the ‘population growth’ of CJ, or for that matter ANY OTHER SCHOOL.
neither does the ministry of health, good grief. take a look at the guys in the video. do they look like they’ve been doing the horizontal hokey-pokey to you?
2) also. CJ actually has this strangely abstract, often unSingaporean concept called FUN.
and yes, this kind of fun is breaking the school rules, and it is dangerous for these students.
but ask yourself this. which school hasn’t had a stupid random dangerous thing like this going on?
RJ ( otherwise known as a ‘certain prestigious school in Bishan’ by some not-so-subtle parent) had the taupok incident. AC has MAD parties. you think CJ is should be judged by guys sliding down a freakin’ DRAIN?
FUN.
and you HAVE to admit. those guys sure look like they’re having loads of it.
what people don’t see often, they don’t understand. what they don’t understand, they try to rationalize.
but since the elitist outlook, the stuck up singaporean status obsession and the close-mindedness of it all has inhibited their abilities to rationalize THIS, they can’t understand at all.
and what you can’t understand at all, you diminish and dismiss. that’s why people find it so easy to look down on things like this. it doesn’t happen often cos they have no fun in their lives.
so-
don’t be afraid of fun. play tai tee or something, dammit!
3) damaging government property? well. you don’t need an ‘A’ level in econs do get this one right- WE PAY TAX. MONEY FROM TAX GO TO GOVERNMENT. GOVERNMENT SPEND MONEY ON EDUCATION. SO GOVERNMENT SPEND MONEY ON SCHOOL EQUIPMENT. YES, SCHOOL EQUIPMENT INCLUDE TABLE.
sure, it says property of moe/singapore govt. all over the place. but technically, it’s our money they’re using to spend. and besides, does it look damaged to you? it didn’t break now did it?
4) and yes. for you aspiring dominatrixes out there who like to see the oh-so-noble concept of discipline properly instilled, the school knows about the incident. and yes, someone got into, or is going to get into, a lot of shit. thing about brother paul is, he never lets things like this slip under his nose. so don’t talk about discipline when you have no idea how it’s like!
so there. and i thought you guys took GP! bias elitists.

haha…i’ve heard abt this many times coz im in da class of 2005..n when i watched it,it totally cracked me up still. im one of those guilty of hating sch when im in it..but im telling u now as an ex student..i miss cj..i miss it to the core! current cjcians! enjoy ur freaking time there! n ignore all sorts of criticism attacking us coz we know cj has improved academically..cj has a top notch phy ed system..besides,there’s no harm in a lil notoriety n havoc fun..;) at least we’re neither stupid nore square. hah.

hmm… why that j1 guy had to try out this stunt… c’mon put your innovativity into some good use… think of different and more applauding stunts… that drain will be watched over by some top dogs for some time now… cctvs…motion sensors…spiked barriers…or speed cameras…
then again..Please do not replicate any of the stunts produced by the team…these members have little or rather no regard of life and are willing to risk their limbs at the expense of having just a little dose of amusement.
