Grieving

Posted on: April 18, 2007

I am sure many of you have read, heard or seen the news of the Virginia Tech massacre. My heart sinks at the sight of Cho Seung-Hui‘s picture. I ask why… My heart cries at the sight of Professor Liviu Librescu‘s picture. I ask why…

This day, I grieve. I ask why… Why did all this have to happen… Why had he deprived himself of glorious living? Why had he lived his lonesome life? Why had he engrossed himself in his hate? What’s with the hate? What’s with the violence? What’s with the terror?

Father, I cannot comprehend…

My condolences and prayers to the families of the 32 victims. I also pray that the survivors will recover soon, be spurred by their near-death experience, be inspired by Professor Hero and make a difference to their and others’ lives…
