Special Privileges?

Posted on: July 19, 2006

A black Jaguar, S_E7200G, has been parking on double yellow lines since 8 PM and just left approximately at 10.15 PM.

  1. You are parking on Double Yellow Lines. You ought to be fined for that.
  2. The road only has 2 lanes. By parking in one of the two, you are causing lots of inconvenience to the residents.
  3. Another black car and a Police Van guarding your car, both parked behind your car, are also blocking the way.

I know you are on Official duties but you also have to abide by Rules, Regulations and the Law. Singapore is supposed to be a Democratic, Just and Equal society, isn’t it? Please kindly park your car at the car-park, or alight and get someone to drive it there. I certainly do not understand what privilege you have, as a Minister, that allows you to park on double yellow lines.

I know I am kicking up a big fuss but we, as citizens, look up to you as role models…
