I woke at 6.47AM this morning when I was supposed to wake at 6AM. I got changed quickly, washed up and had my hair done before hopping on Daddy’s car to Toa Payoh. This will slightly be how next Monday will be… Mummy and I got off at Toa Payoh and she showed me the way to the MRT Station. I got on the train and in no time was at Changi Airport.
I found Wan Qi around the check-in counter. I sat in front of her but she was too engrossed in her luggage repacking… Valerie came and I made myself more visible… Yi Ling and others came shortly. Several lecturers came to send the OIAP students off too.
10.15AM was the final moment. The moment that we say our last goodbyes to Wan Qi and the other OIAP students. We won’t be seeing their physical self for the next 5-6 months. Goodbye Wan Qi, Serene and Angie! Take real good care in Shanghai!
After saying our goodbyes, Shu Yu and I went to take a train back to the City. Shu Yu was going for her dental appointment at Orchard while I was meeting several friends to recce our attachment area in Raffles Place.
I arrived at Raffles Place around 11.15AM and Bao Yi had found her way to UOB Plaza 1 where she works. Bao Yi, Sherlin, Stephanie, Shu Juan and I continued to One Raffles Quay where Stephanie, Shu Juan and I will be working at for the next 22 weeks. I must say One Raffles Quay is gorgeous with its full glass outlook! We continued to The Arcade where the 3 of us will be having training on Monday. Stephanie and Shu Juan had to leave first as they were meeting Yi Zhen at Bugis so the 3 of us went to look for PWC Building where Sherlin will be working at.
After recce-ing the area, we went for lunch at Thai Express, CityLink Mall. I saw Bao Yi and Sherlin off to the bus stop before I went to COMEX. It was crowded but bearable. I saw Robin, Shu Hui, Ying Hui and Rene working at COMEX. There were many other NP students whom I don’t know… Seems like everyone’s making full use of their 2 months vacation to earn some extra pocket money.
I accompanied Ying Hui, got him a drink and Energiser batteries, until around 5PM before I went to look for ties. I had called to my attachment company’s HR department and was advised to wear tie to work. Mummy made me go to Carrefour where I bought 2 $10 ties. One striped blue and the other black with embossed striped dots.
On my way to the bus stop at Suntec Convention Centre, I saw someone wearing the same T-shirt as me… The moment I passed him, I took at look at my T-shirt and true enough it was the same design… I always thought it was embarrassing to be wearing the some thing as somebody else but I guess it isn’t that bad…
I went for dinner at my nanny’s place. I talked to her husband for hours before leaving at 9.30PM. I took a train from Harbourfront to Dhoby Ghaut where I changed to bus service 700A, where I coincidentally met Robin, Veron and their friend Yu Zhuang. At Bukit Panjang Interchange, I waited and took 922 with Robin and Veron while we talked… I reached home around 11.35PM…
P.S Blogging about my day is BORING!
